 AUGUST

            13th - Business Breakfast 7:45 a.m. Tanyard Country Club

 Guest Speaker:  Michael Harvey, executive director of the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development.   He will talk about the importance of fostering existing business retention and expansion is the focus of Harvey’s discussion.  Harvey will also share information about how TJPED, in cooperation with local partners like the Louisa County Economic Development Department, plans to launch a new program entitled “Business First” to provide helpful information to decision makers at existing businesses. The deadline to register for the breakfast is 3 p.m. on Friday, August 8.  Call 967-0944, or email:  info@louisachamber.org to reserve your space TODAY!  Cost:  $12 Chamber members; $15 Non-Chamber members. 

            13^th – Board Meeting 4:00 pm @ Bank of Louisa

            21^st – Joint Louisa and Fluvanna Chambers of Commerce Business After Hours - Sponsor: Better Living Building Supply (at Zion X-Rds.) Time:5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Deadline to RSVP is 3 p.m. on Friday, August 15.  Call 967-0944, or email info@louisachamber.org to reserve your space. Hors d’oeuvres, wine, beer and other beverages will be offered.  Bring your business cards to enter the door prize drawings. 

SEPTEMBER

            10^th – Board Meeting 4:00 pm @ Bank of Louisa

            10^th – Breakfast Meeting, Tanyard Country Club - 7:45 a.m.

            12^th – 3rd annual Day on the Greens Golf Tournament, Tanyard Country Club-  11:30 a.m. registration, putting contest and lunch, followed by a 1 p.m. shotgun start.  Call 967-0944, or email:  info@louisachamber.org to become a green or tee box sponsor for $100, or a par sponsor (both teebox and green) for $175.  The cost is $320 to register your four-person team. The DEADLINE to register is August 29, 2008. No exceptions.  

            18^th - Wine and Cheese Business After Hours – Sponsor  Earlyhouse (5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.)
