Louisa County lies in the heart of Virginia, equal distance between historic Charlottesville, home of Thomas Jefferson, Fredericksburg, where many Civil War battles were fought, and Richmond, our lovely capital city. We are just a few miles from the picturesque Blue Ridge Mountains, where skiing, snowboarding, and outdoor sports can be enjoyed, and only a few hours away from many east coast beaches.

Beautiful Lake Anna which encompasses 13,000 acres and provides opportunities for boating, water sports, and some of the best bass fishing in the state of Virginia.

Bluegrass music is alive and well in the summer in Louisa, with BlueGrass Festivals in the town of Mineral and Christopher Run Campground, on the lake.  The Industrial Development Park boasts one of the few smaller airports in the state able to accommodate corporate jets.

 
The Chamber of Commerce is comprised of a diverse group of people representing agriculture, business, culture, education, manufacturing, tourism, and civic and government organization, all working together to promote economic growth while preserving the historical nature and the rural beauty of the county, making Louisa County a great place to live, work  and play.
