Calling all community members!

Honoring Exceptional Contributions and Celebrating Community Impact.

The Louisa County Impact Awards celebrate the extraordinary contributions of individuals and organizations that have made a meaningful difference in the community. These awards honor those who exemplify giving back, exceptional volunteerism, and impactful contributions. It brings together community members and leaders for an inspiring celebration of the collective efforts that drive positive change and strengthen our community.

Nonprofit of the Year

This award is given to a nonprofit organization, registered as a 501(c)(3) located in Louisa County in recognition for creativity and innovation in building a sustainable organization, excellence in engaging staff and volunteers, and an outstanding dedication to the organization’s mission in the community.

Who is eligible?

Organizations headquartered or with a specific focus or action plans for Louisa County.

Categories of organizations: nonprofit, government, faith-based, or educational organizations

Who can nominate?

Any community member, business, or organization may submit a nominee.

Nominators may submit multiple nominations for different
organizations.

Nominators may not submit the same organization for multiple awards.

How is winner selected?

A confidential judges panel consisting of one random director selected from the Louisa County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, one representative from SERVEVa, and one representative from the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.
Three (3) finalists shall be announced to be included at the Impact Awards Celebration in October with the top organization annouced.

Impact Program of the Year 

This award is given to a nonprofit organization registered as a a 501(c)(3) serving Louisa County in recognition of a specific program initiative, completed or in progress, that addresses the needs of its’ constituents. The program has demonstrated a significant impact to those it serves.

Who is eligible?

Organizations headquartered or with a specific focus or action plans for Louisa County.

Categories of organizations: nonprofit, government, faith-based, or educational organizations

Who can nominate?

Any community member, business, or organization may submit a nominee.

Nominators may submit multiple nominations for different
organizations.

Recognizing Outstanding Partners Who Elevate Your Mission

Community Partner Honor Roll

The Community Partner Honor Roll provides a unique opportunity for nonprofit organizations in Louisa County to recognize an outstanding partner who has made a significant impact on their mission. Only nonprofits can submit nominations for the Honor Roll, allowing them to offer a larger, more visible acknowledgment of individuals, businesses, or organizations that have profoundly supported their work. This award celebrates those whose in-kind or financial contributions, volunteer efforts, or collaborative partnerships have made a meaningful difference, showcasing the critical role these partners play in enhancing the organization’s impact and fostering community success.

Who is eligible?

Partners can include businesses, nonprofit organizations, faith-based, government, educational, independent groups or individuals.

Partners may be outside of Louisa County with a demonstrated impact on the Louisa County organization and community.

Who can nominate?

Any Louisa County nonprofit, faithbased, government, and educational organizations may nominate a Partner that has made a significant impact on their mission.

Louisa County organizations may submit one Community Parnter Honor Roll nomination per year.

 

How is winner selected?

Unlike the other two (2) awards, the Community Partner Honor Roll does not go through a judging panel.

The nominating organization should discuss and evaluate who they feel is most desrving of recognition and we will add them to the annual Community Partner Honor Roll.

Governor's Volunteerism &
Community Service Awards

 Louisa County Impact Award Winners will be submitted for nomination each spring.

The Governor’s Volunteerism & Community Service Awards recognize Virginians who serve across the Commonwealth. These awards recognize some of the millions of generous Virginians who offer their time and talents to others each year. It spotlights the ways that dedication, innovation, and generosity can improve life for all Virginians. Selected honorees are recognized by the Governor and invited to an awards ceremony at the Executive Mansion. All nominees will be recognized on the Serve Virginia Honor Roll.
